This article is an extension of my earlier article “How to earn $1000 per month with Blogging in India?”. In earlier article, I told people about three ways to earn $1000 or more per month through blogging. Google asdesne was first option among those three options which I discussed to achieve goal of earning $1000 per month. In this article, I will tell in more detail about Google adsense and how people can earn more than $1000 per month with it. (Do not know what is a blog visit What is a blog?)
Today, Google adsense is top monetizing options available in front of millions of bloggers from across the world because it allows almost every blogger to use its services unless blogger does not violate its terms and conditions. There are many other competitors of Google adsense in market; however, most of them need minimum number of visitors per day or fail in providing quality advertising.
The other major advantage behind the success of Google adsense is huge collection of ads in its kitty which can cater to almost any blog. Google adsense provide two options of earning money with its ads. One is per click which is more popular (you make money whenever any person clicks on your Google ads) and other is per thousand impressions (you earn money when an ad is shown for thousand times on your website, though it is not necessary that ad must shows thousand times on your website, however, you will be paid a rate based on per thousand impression). Google adsense also provide solutions like Google search, Google ads for mobile website, Google ads for feeds, Google ads for parked domain names.
However, majority of revenue for bloggers comes from per click ads. People can hope to earn from $.01 to $ 10 per click on their ads. There are many ads which can give as low as $.01 per click and there are few big ads which can give $10 per click, though, I have seen maximum of $4 from single click from ad on my website. However, mostly general ads remain in the range of $.05 to $.50. Below, I am sharing few ways to get maximum revenue out of Google adsense account.
1) Optimise Google Ads- It is very important for any blogger using Google Adsense program to optimise Google ads well on blog. It is necessary to show ads at best location on blog so that people can easily watch them. It is always a good idea to past Google ads in those locations which load first because in this way visitors get an opportunity to go through ads while your page loads. Second, try to blend ads in your blog template so that they look same part of your blog. Blogger can easily achieve this by changing background colour of ads to same as background of your blog and changing colour of main Title line of ad to colour of links on your blog. By making these changes, Google ads will start looking similar to other links on your blog. By making these changes, blogger can easily see 50-150% increase in Google/adsense earning.
2) Importance of content- Google adsense place ads on any blog by reading content of your blog e.g. if you blog covers various flowers and related stuff then Google adsense will place ads related to flower industry on your blog. However, many times new bloggers do a common mistake they create a mixed kind of blogs and posts. They try to cover number of topics and key words in their blogs and posts. Due to this reason, these blogger see unrelated or public service ads on their blogs. This only happens when Google fails in finding relevant ads for your blogs. It is very important for bloggers to write right targeted and keyword oriented posts, so that Google ad robots can determine that which ads to show on your blog. Therefore, you will make money with adsense once you have ads displaced by Google.
3) Different Weightage of differnet topics and contents- It is very important for all bloggers to understand that Google adsense gives different importance to different contents. It will pay more for ads on content which it rates important and it will pay less for ads on content which it rates unimportant e.g. general topic post or blog is likely to get less payout per click as compared to highly targeted cancer related blog. In some categories like electronic products, love, stock market, diseases and medicines etc, we can see higher payouts in the range of $.20 to $ 5. Therefore, it is always beneficial to work on specific categories which pay us more.
4) Optimising posts/Blogs- It is very important for all bloggers to get visitors for their blogs and posts so that they can use displayed ads. Mostly, there exist a direct relation between increase in number of visitors and increase in revenue from Google adsense, though, it is not an exact direct relation but we will mostly see an increase. Therefore, it becomes important for people to optimise their posts and blogs in different mediums like search engines, social networks, useful resources etc so that more people should visit their blogs and posts. In coming days, I will write a separate article to address this issue.
5) Do not Panic- It is very important for all bloggers to remember that Google adsense revenue can fluctuate significantly over a period of time e.g. say you earn $ 500 from Google adsense this month then it is not guaranteed that you will earn $ 500 or more next month. However, with constant work and focus we can see constant increase in our average earning.
These are few tricks and suggestions which can make Google adsense experience better for people.
How Article Writers Get Paid Top Dollar

By highlighting exactly how much time, effort and brain power goes into the hand-crafting of a top quality article, smart freelance writers are easily commanding premium pricing over the 'bottom of the pool' wordsmiths. You too can join them by educating your clients about the 7 critical elements of good writing.
Content is king. A Google search reveals the Web had almost THIRTY BILLION pages as of February 2007. Most are worthless garbage spewn out by '$5 per article' writers spinning out verbiage that goes by the euphemistic title of 'articles'.
Thankfully, resources that depend on quality content are waking up to this reality - and taking action.
Search engines are punishing sites with 'junk content' and richly rewarding real content resources that offer value to their users. Article directories are using filters to remove duplicate articles and employing human editors to review and approve only ones that meet a 'quality standard'.
Your website visitors are taking more control into their hands with the growth of social bookmarking tools like Del.icio.us and Digg. They vote top notch content sky-high - and 'bury' worthless word-puddles.
Your clients can compete in this new, changed online world only with quality content like yours - and a few successful freelance writers are reaping a rich fortune by educating them about this - and steering them away from 'junk' writers!
By highlighting exactly how much time, effort and brain power goes into the hand-crafting of a top quality article, smart freelance writers are easily commanding premium pricing over the 'bottom of the pool' wordsmiths.
You too can join them by educating your clients about the 7 critical elements of good writing.
1. Good Writing Is A 'Frame of Mind'
Experienced writers will tell you how their best writing comes when they are 'in the zone'.
Words flow. Ideas well up effortlessly. Sentences literally frame themselves.
This mindset directly impacts the quality of the finished work that clients get back from a writer. Sadly, getting 'in the zone' is random and uncontrolled. It just happens... unless a writer has YEARS of experience and conditioning, and has trained him/herself to get it 'on demand'.
2. Good Writing Involves Planning Theme And Concept
A good article is not just a random, haphazard, unstructured collection of nice sentences. A good article packs a punch. And it does that because it speaks directly to the reader.
It seeks to educate or inform. It tries to influence and entertain. It attempts to convince and cajole a response from readers. A good article leaves the reader a changed person.
To achieve this end, a writer needs to understand the target audience. What moves and motivates them to visit a website? What do they expect to find on a blog? What fears and problems are they looking to allay? What hopes, dreams and ambitions do they nurture?
Planning a theme and concept is critical, and top quality professional writers will do this for clients. Not a $5 per article writer - and to be fair, how can they afford to do it at those rates?!
3. Good Writing Is Backed By Painstaking Research
To write this article, I spent close to 2 hours of research. This is a topic I am already an 'expert' on. Highly paid writers often must write on subjects they never have heard about before!
Yet a good writer will not balk at that. After all, the Web offers a wealth of resources to tap for ideas, information and imagination. And don't forget the library!
Research takes time. It takes effort. It can be boring. A good writer will still do it - because that is exactly what makes the writer's work stand out from the competition and be considered excellent.
More research equals more value. More research also costs more time and effort. $5 per article leaves very little 'margin' for either extra time or effort. Guess what gets sacrificed on the altar of quality?
4. Good Writing Is About Technical Skills And Expertise
Writing, in a technical sense, involves sentence structure, spelling, grammar. In an aesthetic sense, it involves flow, appeal, emotion.
Words, strung together the right way, can make a grown man cry, a sad woman burst out laughing, a deadbeat 'loser' get inspiration to succeed.
The pen is a MIGHTY tool - and so is a word-processor when wielded by a skilled writer.
Technical skills in writing are only possible when backed by language skills. Without a good command over a language, it is practically impossible to come up with the best content.
I write fluently in English. But when asked to write a basic article or report in another language I speak fluently, I find myself struggling.
How then can a non-native English speaker write great articles in English? Yet hundreds of 'writers' do just that.
There is no excuse today for letting spelling or grammar mistakes creep into articles written professionally. Most word processing software has built-in spell and grammar check features. Online dictionaries and thesauruses (or is it thesauri ?!) let any writer quickly and easily find the right word or synonym to use in a particular context.
Yet how many articles are 'perfect' in this respect? 'Laziness' is an attribute shared by 'lowly paid' workers. Writers are no excpetion. $5 per article writers are paid little - and want to work less. Perfection is a luxury they cannot afford!
5. Good Writing Is More Than Stringing Together Sentences
A good writer will work with an outline.
Step by step, this is how my own article writing process works - and I am by no means a 'professional writer'.
1 - Plan an outline or theme for the set of articles, including a long term strategy if the work is likely to be ongoing and involve periodic updates
2 - Create a list of topics to cover - includes 'in demand' issues that show up in my research which involves browsing forums and email lists, reading popular blogs, following news stories, looking at best sellers on Amazon.com, Magazines.com and other trend-setting websites.
3 - Come up with a list of article titles - catchy attention grabbers designed to hook the interest of the target reader.
4 - Draft out a small 'table of contents' for each article, listing out the points or issues to cover within it. For short articles, this may be just one or a few burning issues. For a longer 'opinion piece', editorial or review article, it would be more comprehensive and cover all relevant aspects of the topic being discussed.
5 - Do keyword research to find the most important keywords relevant to the title and content of the article, so the article can be optimized for it
6 - Go through my research notes and pull out the snippets of value to the article being written.
7 - Create a first draft of the article by fleshing out the outline.
8 - Revising the article, adding more content or removing redundant or repetitive bits.
9 - Spell, grammar check the article.
10 - Read and re-read it to assess 'flow' and 'tone' and make corrections wherever necessary.
11 - Leave it for a day or two, and come back to read it again, just to make sure everything is 'perfect'. Often at this stage I will make further tweaks and improvements to further enhance the article and make it more attractive and appealing.
I have probably left out a step or two, but even if I haven't, you get a fair picture of what it means to write a 'killer' article starting from scratch.
At a very conservative estimate, this means a good article will take even a skilled writer a minimum of an hour or two to create. Often, it takes longer because the writer is not an 'expert' in the subject matter of the article.
6. Good Writing Has A Purpose
Cheap writers - and content spinning software tools - specialize in stringing together words into sentences, sentences into paragraphs, paragraphs into 'articles'.
Good writers begin with a purpose.
They spend time thinking about what an article they write is expected to do.
Is it meant to pre-sell a potential prospect into buying something or joining some service? Is it for influencing a reader's viewpoint or getting them to consider a controversial issue? Is it to inform and educate them on the reality of a problem or situation (like this report seeks to give you the REAL facts about article writing!)?
This is not just important - it is critical. Because without a clear focus and purpose, your articles will just meander all over the place without DOING anything.
If you have a good writer working on your content, you can rest assured that the writing will deliver you results - whatever your desired result is.
On the other hand, if you go for 'lowest price', well... just remember, you get what you pay for!
7. Good Writing Is Profitable
Look, your clients already are paying for articles - or thinking about doing it in the near future.
They're paying for articles because those articles are making them money - or supposed to be doing it.
They're disappointed or frustrated because this whole thing is NOT working out the way they expected.
Chances Are They Are Blaming The Wrong Thing For It!
They think their writers dropped the ball by creating worthless content.
They feel the site design is wrong, and needs a tweak to enhance response.
They wonder if they need that latest script, software or template pack to add pizazz to the site.
They want to spend money driving more traffic to their pages.
They wish those JV partners would line up to endorse their site and drive visitors their way - and earn them a fortune.
They Can Do All Of This - And Still Fail If Your Content Is NOT Up To Scratch!
And $5 per article simply does not cut it!
We've seen exactly why this is so.

What can you get for a dollar?

World currency isn't my strong point. I don't know what is the equivalent of a dollar in other nations. Whether it is a pound, a mark, a yen, or even a different dollar, I just don't know. But here in America, you can't buy much for a dollar, or can you?
One of the most annoying set of commercials in my opinion are those from some 10-10- number. It employs country music stars, football greats, and even puppets to say something along the lines of, "You can't buy much for a dollar these days." Then they proceed to tell us that we can get a 20-minute phone call for just 99 cents. Then you pay some extra change for every minute beyond that.
Well I say you can get some really cool stuff for a dollar. After all we have dollar stores and everything in there is a dollar. As you are walking through the checkout lane at the super market, a whole shelf of candy is usually there to tantalize prospective buyers for things under a dollar. Sometimes there are specials in which you get three for a dollar.
But more importantly you can make some fun art for under a dollar. In your local area if you have a little arts and crafts store just as JoAnn's Fabrics, or Micheal's Arts and Crafts, or A.C. Moore then you can have some real fun for under a dollar. Start walking through all the isles and pay attention to the little things that make larger crafts.
I challenged myself this past valentines day (This art not shown here.) to make a little something for my wife. I admit that I'm a cheapskate most of the time, but I do enjoy to spend money on her. However all I had in my jacket pocket was about a dollar in change. Well, I marched right into the crafts store and started looking around. I thought for sure they'd have a little something that would amuse her for the evening that I could get for under a dollar.
For the most part I couldn't find much. I looked through the fake flowers and stamps and fabrics and such and thought I'd peruse some of the more useless things (my opinion at the time). Well lo and behold I found a tiny little bear for 20 cents. I picked up a couple. Then I continued walking, not knowing what else I would find I wandered into some isle with tiny little fake roses in bundles, for only 33 cents. Two bears and some roses, how great! If only I had something to mount them on. Wouldn't you know it, I found a little Styrofoam disk for only 15 cents.
I had done it. Two bears (.20 x 2), some little roses (.33) and a Styrofoam disk(.15) cost me about 94 cents (Don't forget about that great limbo land of sales tax). For under a dollar and 10 minutes I have created a little flower garden with two bears, one of which was holding a rose. The stems from the roses helped attach the bears to the Styrofoam.
So for this exercise I wanted to do something new and different. I wanted to try again to go the cheap route and create something fun. I dropped into the crafts store and got a little brown bear for 20 cents and a Styrofoam disk for 15 cents. Walking around I looked for anything under fifty cents. I didn't search the entire store, I limited my search to small items. Eventually I landed upon a small bag of gold sequins for 44 cents. I realized I was up to 79 cents without the tax but I now had a purpose.
I reasoned that with the little gold sequins I could make this look like a Californian gold digger sitting on his riches. I just needed that little something extra to make it appear to be more than just a bear sitting on a pile of gold. I found the doll house accessories section. There is some pretty amazing stuff in that miniature isle. The little metal palm tree was attractive and I thought I could make a little island bear but the tree was costly. For 63 cents however, I landed upon the little bronze hat. Sixty-three cents put me over a dollar but I thought it was perfect, so my total when I checked out was $1.51.
For this I used a little hot glue to keep it all together so in the end you probably want to tack another dollar and 10 cents for a glue gun and a glue stick but I don't think that's too much to ask for a little cheap fun. What do you think, should I start a company selling cheap little art projects? Maybe I'll call it Bearly Designed. It's probably already been done.
You're challenge is to spend a dollar and emulate another kind of commercial we here in America are all too familiar with:
1 Bronze hat -- > $0.63
1 Styrofoam Disk -- > $0.15
1 bag of gold sequins -- > $0.44
1 small bear -- > $0.20
The look
look of joy and happiness you get when you give it to someone -- > Priceless.
For everything else, there's Artexercise, accepted everywhere great art is enjoyed.
